COVID-19 update -

We have reopened our clinic slowly for in person sessions. Sensory integration interventions with children will be put on hold for the time being due to the many high touch surfaces. We are keeping you safe by:

  1. screening staff for symptoms before their shift.
  2. having staff wear PPE during visits (since social distancing is not possible).
  3. facilitating hand hygiene for staff and clients with available hand sanitizer
  4. disinfecting surfaces before and after visits
  5. spacing visits by 15 min to allow us time to disinfect surfaces
  6. requiring clients to fill out a mandatory COVID-19 screening 2 hours before your visit (it will arrive in your email)
  7. asking clients to wear a face mask during your visit (bring your own or get a disposable one from us)
  8. continuing to wash our neurofeedback caps with warm water and soap

For clients who are not yet ready to come in person and for clients under 16, we are still able to meet you through telehealth for certain interventions

Would you let a track and field coach force your child to sprint on a sprained ankle?

Tutoring a child with dyslexia or a reading disability can be like letting a track and field coach force your child to sprint on a sprained ankle. They will get a lot further if you let the ankle heal. For some children tutoring works well but if you find that they are not progressing any further it may be time to look at solutions that can work directly on strengthening brain connections which is called neuroplasticity (the ability of the brain to change itself). Lisa's - Holistic Rehab & Neurofeedback Inc. offers many reading interventions that can help you get more out of tutoring.

When dealing with children or adults with learning disabilities or brain injury

If you woke up one morning and realized that you couldn't feel your legs and were paralyzed would you want to be prescribed a wheelchair right away or would you like the chance to see if you could walk again? It is the same thing for our brains. It is important to rehabilitate the brain by focusing on interventions that improve neuroplasticity. Lisa's - Holistic Rehab & Neurofeedback Inc. is dedicated to providing cutting-edge rehabilitation to children and adults suffering from traumatic brain injuries and concussions, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD), Dyslexia, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), learning disabilities, sensory processing disorder, Autism, concentration/focus problems, Depression, Anxiety, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), etc Using a systematic approach and knowledge of many different interventions we can work together to find a solution to help you or your child reach their full potential.
